The series \u201cFaz Acontecer\u201d (Make it Happen), a television programme written by Andr\u00e9 Leonardo, in which he travels around Portugal, backpack on his back, meeting people who have made things happen, will also pass through the Azores.<\/p>\n
At a press conference held today in Horta, Andr\u00e9 Leonardo said: \u201cWhen I started preparing this series that will show people with fibre throughout Portugal, people who, with sacrifice and will, went ahead and made things happen, I knew that I also wanted to visit \u201dmy Azores'. We are a region with excellent success stories and I want the rest of the country to get to know these people who make it happen from the middle of the Atlantic to the world!\".<\/p>\n
The Regional Government is the main partner. At the session to present this partnership, Regional Youth Director L\u00facio Rodrigues emphasised that of the 10 episodes that make up the series, \u201ctwo will be recorded in the Azores, on the islands of Faial and Pico, where young people from Terceira will learn about the stories and experiences of local entrepreneurs\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Regional Youth Director also stressed that \u201cthis initiative is in line with the Azorean government's strategy to promote entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial culture among young people\u201d, giving an example of this with the \u201cEntrepreneurial Education: The Road to Success\u201d programme, which has been running for seven consecutive editions in the region's schools and for which the young Andr\u00e9 Leonardo is the ambassador.<\/p>\n
