Born in Angra do Heroísmo, he demonstrated his initiative from an early age, creating a door-to-door flower-selling business at just six years old. At 24, he undertook a solo expedition around the world to meet entrepreneurs, an experience he recounted in his first book, the bestseller Make It Happen (2015).
He is the author and co-author of several works published in Portugal and Spain, and he wrote and hosted the television series Make It Happen (Canal Q). He is also the founder of several companies, including Faz Acontecer, Mid-Atlantic Hostel, and Volcanic Hostel.
Throughout his career, he has generated thousands of euros for social causes and helped hundreds of people pursue and achieve their goals and projects. The connections he has established with over 500 successful individuals worldwide allow him to extract valuable lessons, which he frequently shares in his lectures and training sessions.

An out-of-the-box motivational talk—informal, fun, and hands-on. André Leonardo is an experienced international speaker who has taken the stage hundreds of times across 9 countries. Over the past 10 years, he has visited nearly 50 countries, engaging with over 400 action-oriented individuals. In a 45-minute to 2-hour session (customized to the client’s needs), André shares the lessons, tips, experiences, and attitudes he has seen drive success, delivering a unique presentation designed to inspire attendees to take action and make things happen!
Once confirmed, an online briefing session will be scheduled to assess needs, clarify questions, and align the presentation. Following this, André will prepare his talk for your event, aiming to inspire attendees on the various topics previously agreed upon.
André is the founder of Faz Acontecer and the Mid-Atlantic & Volcanic Boutique Hostels, as well as a professor and coordinator at ISCTE Executive Education. Drawing on his travels, experiences, and the inspiring people he has met in nearly 50 countries, André is able to convey management-related messages—such as productivity, attitude, commitment, teamwork, leadership, and proactivity—with simplicity and impact.
