2016 in numbers

I chose this as my photo of the year 2016. It was taken in Spain when I went there to collect the award for Portugal as one of the “seven young people who are changing the world”. At an international event in Madrid for a few hundred people, with a few thousand watching online, I made a point of showing my Azorean flag, which has been with me since birth. A nomination that naturally makes me proud, but above all brings with it a great responsibility and forces me to keep going. An election that has also given a very special colour and stamp to all the work that has been done.

2016 with some facts & figures:
- Elected one of the “Seven young people who are changing the world”;
- + 70 lectures between Portugal and Spain in companies, schools, universities and other organisations;
- + 24,000 people involved;
- + 40 flights;
- Featured in national and international media: Gulf-Elite - UAE, TVE / El Confidencial / LaRazon - Spain, RTP1 / SIC - Portugal, Lightmagazine - Bulgaria, ÁfricaToday - Angola, etc);
- Launch in Madrid of the book “Pangea: Siete jóvenes que están transformando el mundo” (only available in Spanish);

It's been an incredible year, the result of intense preparation and projects in 2014 and 2015. Nothing happens without hard work, insistence and patience. Things happen step by step. In fact, many people want immediate results, but forget that things take time to happen. But they do happen.
That said, and after what I've been preparing, I believe that 2017 will be a year that will surpass all previous ones with the launch of ambitious, innovative projects in different areas. It's expected to be a busy, intense and labour-intensive year... But since there's no fear of work here, let's get to it! There will be news as early as January.
To all of you who have been following along, a big thank you for your support!
I wish you all a happy 2017, full of hope and the desire to make new projects and adventures happen!
