The television series “Faz Acontecer Portugal” seeks to inspire and publicise national success stories.
André Leonardo is the author, promoter and presenter of the new television series “Faz Acontecer Portugal”, in which he will travel around Portugal from north to south interviewing people who make things happen, in business and in life, while wandering around different hotels, customs and, even within the same country, traditions.
“After organising conferences, going around the world telling inspiring stories, writing the book ‘Faz Acontecer’ (Make it Happen), which is now in its second edition, and giving almost 100 talks in a year and a half, the enthusiastic reactions I get regularly from people who from then on see things differently, take action, go into ‘battle’ and try to make things happen are amazing. The projects have had and are having an impact and in the face of this avalanche I feel I have to keep going. This year I'm launching more conferences, lectures and training courses, but also this television series which will inspire and reach many people quickly. Television has this power,” says André Leonardo.
Entitled “Faz Acontecer Portugal”, the first season will have 10 episodes, will pass through various municipalities and regions such as Albergaria-a-Velha, Santa Maria da Feira, Ponte de Sor or the Azores, among others, will be recorded over 2 months and will begin broadcasting on the following Sunday. Q Channel at the end of April in prime time: “In my talks I have travelled the country and met absolutely inspiring people who have created their businesses with effort and dedication and who, in perhaps less expected places, generate employment and have become a reference. I want to make them known to the national sphere. I want everyone to get to know this Portugal that makes things happen. This Portugal with fibre that isn't just Lisbon and Porto, that isn't just tech start-ups and international events. These energetic Portuguese and these enterprising municipalities. I had the idea of creating this series ‘Faz Acontecer Portugal’, a television programme where we try to address what really inspires: the story of the individual who made it happen, the difficulties he encountered, how he did it, how he solved them, how the people in his locality helped him or not, and to do it in an informal and uncomplicated conversation. I wanted something young, dynamic and fresh. I wanted something that would speak to young people eye-to-eye in an appealing way!” says André Leonardo.
Diana Coelho, General Director of Canal Q, says: “This programme is in line with Canal Q's constant search for new ideas. We're going to showcase successful businesses from the north to the south of the country.”
Elected in 2016 by PANGEA, Spain, as one of the “Seven young people who are transforming the world” and in February 2017 winner of the Social Entrepreneurship school in Georgia, André Leonardo is taking another step towards promoting the entrepreneurial spirit.
